Two days Blüesli workshop in Zürich 31st January and 1st of February with live music on Saturday night.
We are super excited to have Alex and Ioanna from Greece for an amazing weekend of blues dancing and classes!
Alex and Ioanna are an enthusiastic blues dance couple. They love to share their personal style of Blues dancing through teaching, adore choreographing captivating performances and cherish loooong nights of social dancing!
They are both highly trained dancers; Ioanna has been dancing since she was a child and Alex has been doing it since 2008. Since 2017 they have been focusing mainly on Blues, travelling around Europe deepening their understanding of Blues dancing and its culture as well as continuously developing their dance and teaching skills.
About Alex:
Alex is passionate about sharing the cultural depth of African American dances and the emotions they evoke, a passion he’s been nurturing for over a decade and a half! While he still enjoys other dances, Blues and Lindy Hop hold a special place in his heart. Alex loves delving into the wide range of Blues dance idioms and music styles. His (current) favorite idioms: Struttin’ and Texas Shuffle!
Alex’s teaching philosophy is simple yet powerful: building strong technique, understanding the culture behind these dances, sparking inspiration and personal creative expression, and -most importantly- keeping the dances fun and enjoyable.
About Ioanna:
Ioanna is one of the most active members of the blues scene in Europe. She hasn’t stopped exploring the magic world of Blues through dancing, training and teaching in international festivals. Her goal is to always be inspired, passionate and creative!

Party
There’s a fridge at the venue, but no alcool on sale – bring your own drinks (or get some at the Coop just downstairs)!
Entry free for workshop participants. Everyone else 15.- CHF
Venue
All classes and the party will be taking place at UNITED DANCE STUDIO, Hohlstrasse 560, 8048 Zürich – just next to Bahnhof Altstetten.

Full Blüesli: 220 CHF / 180 reduced (2 days, party incl.)
One day Blüesli: 130 CHF / 110 CHF reduced (1 day, party incl.)
Extra advanced class (1h): 40 CHF / 35 CHF reduced. For Blüesli participants 10 CHF reduction
Saturday party only: 15.- (no registration needed)
If you register for only Saturday or only Sunday, you will be placed on a waiting list until close to the workshop, where we can decide if there is space for single-day registrations. Thank you for understanding.
